Art of Change

In November 2006, I joined 38 people from across the US and Canada in a year-long training program led by Robert Gass, called the Art of Change. Rather than being focused on leadership, this particular training – the first year Robert has offered it – is focused on those of us who wish to support social change leaders and organizations through facilitation, training and coaching.  Robert’s gifts as a teacher, as well as the three extraordinary facilitators he has brought together to support the training (Akaya, Judith and Toby, as well as the students, combine to make this the most intense, challenging and rewarding work I’ve done in years.

Robert has encouraged us to share this work with the world. So here, under the “Art of Change” (AOC) category, are the daily practices he suggests each day, in between our four face-to-face retreats throughout the year. Every day there’s a new posting. However, I only started this blog in February 2007; for past ‘daily practice’ postings from November, December and January, please see my friend and colleague Jodie Tonita’s “Shemuses.net” blog. Enjoy!
